ELLIE LOVES #4

Well hello there stranger. It's been a little while but I am back and better than ever (Those sausage raps aren't the only thing you're gonna see twice - name that reference lol)
In the past few months I have been using some new products and I thought I would run you through what I have been loving recently.

All about that base (sorry)
I have spoken about the Bourjois healthy mix serum before on my blog, It is my favourite foundation i have ever tried. It is long lasting, smells gorgeous, applies evenly due to the moisturising formula and leaves a medium coverage, dewy finish. Before prom I went on the hunt for a good primer because Benefit's Porefessional just wasn't cutting it for my dry skin. I found the Bourjois Happy light luminous serum primer. These two products make the perfect duo for my dry/normal skin and my base is looking good all day long thanks to them. To keep any possible shine in my Tzone at bay I use the Bourjois healthy balance powder. This is very mattifying so if that's your preference I would definitely recommend this. However I do prefer a slightly lighter finish so I use my tapered stippling brush to apply this.

Cheeks:
In June i picked up the Collection Bronze glow mosaic powder for free as part of a deal in boots, I haven't put it down since. I apply this with my tapered stipple brush too, lightly brushing it over my cheek bones. In the summer months I tend to steer clear of blusher and more towards bronzer and my cheeks can tend to be the colour of tomatoes in the heat anyway (lol). This step replaces highlighter too because of the shimmer in the bronzer. I dropped this bronzer while I was away but I did manage to catch it, meanwhile scraping out a lot of product with my fingernails. eugh #beautybloggerproblems

Eyes:
I'm still bloody loving my Naked 1 palette by the way, the £38 investment was not a mistake. The colours are so long lasting and buttery to apply. My favourite shades of the moment are Toasted, Sidecar and Sin.

Body:
After coming back from spain a few weeks ago, I've been regularly using the Dove Summer Glow nourishing lotion to keep my tan on fleek.

Thank you so much for reading and sticking with me!

Summer in two perfume bottles |TimewithYana

Hello lovelies!
Todays post is a guest post from Yana from TimeWithYana (http://timewithyana.blogspot.com/), I hope you enjoy!

In general my perfume collection consists of strong scents which I can't describe with one word as flowery, citrus, fruity, spicy and so on. The stronger the better. Do you know what I mean? Like, those girls whose perfume you can still smell even when she is not somewhere around. No one complained, though. Except my mum.
However, this summer I had some kind of 'click' in my head that made me put my favourite perfume bottles away and try out another ones. I was looking for something new and fresh. But every time I walked into the store, my subconscious led me to those dark scents that I had literally to slap me in the face to stop looking at them. So, I decided to ask a real expert aka my mum to help me. She is really into luscious and soft fragrances that I think I somehow need to steal her taste, because I partially agree my preferences are a bit too heavy for a sixteen year old girl.
The first shop we visited was Yves Rocher. They have a wide range of some good scents. I remember going through stage when their Vanille Noire Eau de Parfum was my huge obsession, but I gave up because it was so sweet, even for me. This time I grabbed Fraîcheur Végétale eau de cologne de Verveine. It was released quite a long time ago, crisp and light unisex fragrance. I am in love with its lemony-green notes. I am slightly a lemon maniac as well, so it is perfection for me! But there is one disappointing feature. I wish it had better lasting power. Therefore I needed another perfume that would build up and compliment this scent more.
I have to admit here comes my favourite part, it is Versace Versense. If you asked me to explained it by using Internet slang, I would go with asdfghjkl, too many feels. It belongs to perfumes that have personality of its own. Get what I mean? It is unique, sophisticated, intoxicating, sharp and smooth at the same time. I promise you, you will feel special whilst wearing it! I would say it smells like different citruses combined with figs and, what is more important, with lots of energy and vitality. Basically, for me it smells like summer, sunshine, adventures and holidays.

By mixing both perfumes, Fraîcheur Végétale de Verveine and Versense, I created my own summer scent. If I feel very sad and unmotivated, for example, in winter, I would spray them all over myself and relive my summer memories.

Summer Beauty Essentials | NinaRossBeauty

Hello everyone and I hope that you're all having a lovely day, I'm Lou from ninarossbeauty.wordpress.com and I'm guest blogging today for the lovely Ellie Loves. Seeing as it's summer I thought I'd share with you some summer beauty essentials to help you all look and feel amazing.
Displaying all.jpgThe sunshine is here (or at least occasionally here in the UK) and it's time for a whole new wardrobe and of course some much needed summer beauty essentials. Here are my top picks which will help you all make the most of summer.

1) Waterproof Mascara
You know the drill, whether you fancy a quick dip in the pool or a spontaneous rain shower, the last thing you want is trails of black mascara running down your cheeks. Thankfully I have a great recommendation and I've been loving the Maybelline Rocket Volum' Waterproof Mascara this has a plastic brush that really grips the lashes and adds length and volume and it doesn't flake or smudge, even better is that it's easy to remove with a makeup remover and lasts all day!

            Displaying mascara.jpg

2) Gel Liner
I've tried liquids, gels, felt tips and kohls, but when I want a feline flick the rest simply don't cut it. I recently purchased the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner and it's easy to use and looks absolutely phenomenal. What I really love is that it just so happens to be a dupe for the Bobbi Brown counterpart, so it's an investment really. That money you just saved can buy you a cocktail or another ice cream.

Displaying gel liner.jpg

3) A Blue Liner
For all those Urban Decay Naked Lovers who hate colour, this trend is actually really striking. I've seen the likes of Lily Pebbles rocking this and it really does add a pop of colour (sorry for the cliche). I love the GOSH Velvet Touch Eyeliner in Sky Blue it looks great on the waterline and it's creamy and inexpensive.

Displaying blue liner.jpg

4) Tinted Moisturiser
If like me, you are phobic of anything less than a medium coverage then fear not because this tinted moisturiser is pretty special. I absolutely hated the infamous Nars Tinted Moisturiser finding it greasy and orangey but the ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser is something else, it moisturises and adds coverage and that highly sought after dewy glow. All you need with this is a nice concealer and your base is sorted.

Displaying tinted moisturiser.jpg
5) Bronzer
We all know how important a bronzer is but it can be really difficult to find one, especially if you're super pale and can't afford things such as Nars Laguna or Benefit Hoola. Thankfully I have the perfect recommendation and it's the W7 Honolulu Bronzer. This is a dupe for Hoola and it's seriously great. It's very pigmented so a little goes a long way and it comes with a really soft angled kabuki brush which makes contouring a doddle. If you need a bronzer check this out it's a few pounds at the most.

Displaying bronzer.jpg

6) Blusher
I love blusher and surprisingly I can work with cream or powders and shimmer or matte finishes. In all honesty I'm a blush fiend. One that I really like is the Sleek Blush in Rose Gold it's a coral blusher with golden shimmer running through it and it's breathtaking. It also just so happens to be a dupe for Nars Orgasm and I have both so I can confirm that this is true. This seriously lasts for ages, I've had mine for a year and there's not even a dent in it yet.

Displaying blusher.jpg

7) Lip Balm
With all that sunshine and the occasional blast of wind, this is the season where our lips can be really chapped. People remember lip balm in winter but seem to forget in summer and the sun can do serious damage. I love lip balms and could easily list ten different ones but at the moment I'm using Blistex Orange Mango Blast Lip Balm and it was a pound for Poundland. It tastes nice, hydrates the lips and is cheaper than chips so you really have no excuse not to buy it.

Displaying lip balm.jpg
8) Bright Nail Polish
Bright nail polish is key this summer (just like every year) I have so many polishes it seems impossible to pick just one, however I love pastels and I love the colour blue. If you want a pretty polish that will last for days without chipping and has a glossy finish then look further than the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry this is absolutely gorgeous and is my all time favourite polish.

Displaying polish.jpg
9) Toner
Of all of the skincare items you're probably wondering why I chose toner but when it's warm your pores open up allowing bacteria and all sorts of nasties into the skin and noone wants a yellowhead when you're going out. The toner I cannot get enough of right now is the Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water this smells like the seaside (in a good way) really fresh and it's a cooling mist which is lovely for sensitive and dehydrated skin. This tightens the pores and it's fairly priced at between £5.00 and £7.00 for a bottle that will last you for ages.

Displaying toner.jpg
10) Texturising Spray
Whether you're rocking beachy waves or sleek and straight hair, a little texture will never look out of place and will help you get those locks that you've dreamed of. My favourite has to be the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray which smells lovely, lasts for ages and makes your hair double in size. This is a cult product and for good reason, it really is as good as everyone says.

So that concludes my summer beauty essentials, I hope that you enjoyed this post and if you did kindly like this post and feel free to comment to surprise Ellie when she gets back. If you want more from me feel free to head over to my blog if you fancy.

Thanks for reading.

ELLIE LOVES IS TWO!

HELLO LOVELIES!

This is such an exciting post to be writing. On Tuesday Ellie Loves turned Two!

I have always been interested in makeup from a young age. I remember, I would ask my mother and older sister daily if they had any makeup they didn't want anymore that they could give to me. I would often receive a tinted lip balm or some clear lip gloss but it was so exciting to me. On the 23rd of June 2013 I was very bored, I had been following lots of bloggers on Instagram, looking at pictures of their makeup was one of my favourite things to do. In all their captions they would write something along the lines of "Check out my blog- Link in bio" and being 13 and very impressionable. I thought I would create a blog- beautybyelliee.blogspot.com and here I am 2 years later. Still blogging. I never thought It would develop to this scale. Ellie loves has hundreds of followers on various social media platforms and I couldn't be prouder to call this little blog mine. Thank you all so much for following me, reading my posts and supporting me by commenting and tweeting me lovely things. My readers mean so much to me, I love you all more than you could ever know.

Thank you so much,
Ellie Loves

EYELINER 101

So quite a few of my friends have referred to me as the "Eyeliner Queen"  Not because I am so skilled at liquid eyeliner that I am worthy of a crown and a throne (but I do want one). But because I wear it consistently everyday, over this time I've picked up a few tips that make the dreaded part of your makeup routine a little bit easier. So, pick up your eyeliner, and lets get started.

The eyeliner I use everyday is the Collection Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner in black. It's super black, super easy to use and remove and super long lasting. Bish bash bosh, £2.99 ? Thank you very much.

So my first rule of On fleek eyeliner is to make the line smooth and continuous. If your wing is at 90 degrees to your lashline
, chances are your eyeliner is not so on fleek.

A tip from me when winging out your eyeliner is to line up the felt tip with your waterline/ outer corner and continue on the line of your lower lash line. With a felt tip liner this is so easy because you can literally line it up, then press down the eyeliner and voila! You have a quite weird looking line coming out the corner of your eye. Next, I draw a really thin line along my entire lashline, then going back over it and gradually thickening it as I get closer to the outer corner. I then smooth out the line carefully and there we have it. No I don't get it perfect every time, but with this simple routine, it leaves very little room for error.

*i did take photos of me doing my eyeliner for this blogpost, but they were a bit rubbish so I hope the slightly bad selfie will do.

thanks for reading!

Checking in

When in doubt.... Put a selfie? hahaha

Hello everybody!

Long time no speak, or write and read? Anyway. I thought I would check in, I have completed 15 out of my 25 exams and am currently on Half term break. Funny that- "Break" I have been revising solidly, or attempting to, all week. My last exam is on the 12th of June and I will be free until September. I have loads of plans for the summer and I am so excited. But I know that I will be keeping you guys up to date and maybe even documenting some of my trips? (*oooh* *aaaah*)

I'm also writing to let you know that for some weird reason I seem to have lost every single photo on my blog. I haven't been gone that long! This is so frustrating but I have been trying to resolve it by finding the images on my laptop, but I can't do this for every blog post so I am sorry but some foetus Ellie Loves' posts may be deleted. This, I can promise you, is for the best. Ahahaha. Thank you for sticking by my little blog. I will see you next month for a very exciting summer here on Ellie Loves.

Thanks for reading, you guys mean so much to me.

Gettin' cheeky with Benefit

Hi guys!
As I mentioned in a recent blog post, Benefit have been taking over my makeup bag recently, particularly in the cheek department. So today I thought I would share with you my favourite cheek products from Benefit.

HOOLA
I can't believe it took me so long to try Hoola! It is the perfect shade, consistency and pigmentation for me. It is so easy to bronze or contour with, all depending on your application technique. At the moment I have a mini size that I got in a set at christmas, and even though I've more or less used it every day, there is no dip in the product. When I need to I will without a doubt be buying the full size, and I can guarantee that it is worth the price tag, because it will last you forever!

ROCKATEUR
I bought Rockateur last July as a birthday present to myself (allow it) And I've been using it religiously ever since, It is a beauty warm rose/ peach colour with golden shimmer and just looks #flawless on the cheeks. Big thumbs up from this girl.

HIGH BEAM
I got a mini High beam in my christmas set too. And I'm so glad I did! It is an absolutely beautiful liquid champagne pearlescent highlighter, a classic from Benefit. It is absolutely beautiful, blends like a dream, catches the light amazingly and you only use a small amount so will last ages! Definitely will be purchasing the full size when the time comes.

What is your favourite cheek product? As you can tell i'm all about the cheek products lately!

An Update

Hiya guys,

As a few of you may know, I am taking my GCSEs at the moment, and my final exams are right around the corner. So I'm afraid to say you won't be hearing much from me in the blogging world over the next few months, These exams are really important so they really do need to take priority. After my exams are over, I have a really long summer (yaaasss) Although I do have lots of plans already, I am more than sure that I will be able to fit in some regular blogging (Get ready for prom with me anyone?). I'm sorry! Obviously I would rather be blogging that revising but I'm not sure what my teachers would say about that! ;) Thank you for understanding and for sticking with Ellieeloves! My readers mean the world to me and I can't believe how many there are of you now! See you in the summer!

What's in my bag - geekandchicx

Todays post is a guest post written by the beautiful Chicca from geekandchicx.blogspot.it I hope you enjoy it and make sure to follow her if you do!

Hey guys, It's Chicca! Some years ago I did a what's in my bag so today I decide to do an updated, more professional and with different things so let's start!

Earphones (1)  I can't go out without them, I always listen music when I'm alone on public transport.

Wallet (2) I know it's so old and I should change it but anyway, it's always with me, I have cards, money... well all the stuff that you can find in a wallet lol.

Notebook (3) On it I write all my ideas, numbers and stuff. When I have ideas for blog posts I write them in it.

Phone (4) I haven't got too much to say about it but only that I did some weeks ago a What's on my Iphone and if you want you can check it here

Ipod (5) Like how I said before I always listen to music when I go out.

Sunglasses (6) Mine are from Ray-Ban and I bought them some years ago so I don't know if you can still find them in shops, but maybe you can on the internet.

Charger (7) I should buy a portable one but for now I use this, obviously I can't charge the phone when I'm on the street, but when I go to school or to my friends house I can :)

This is my new post!
I hope you like it and remember to
follow my blog on bloglovin or become a member

Love you xxx

NAKED 1

Ok, this is not a drill. I finally took the plunge. After careful deliberation, various discussions with the lovely ladies at the Urban Decay counter and with my beauty loving friends, I went for it I bought the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette! So I thought, why not share the photos of it, so we can all bask in its glory because that is basically what the beauty blogger community do on twitter everyday.

(top to bottom) VIRGIN is a very light beige with cool shimmer, SIN is a champagne shimmer, NAKED is a matte beige, SIDECAR is a light brown shimmer with silver glitter, BUCK is a medium matte brown.HALF BAKED is a warm dark gold, SMOG is a medium brown with gold shimmer, DARKHORSE is a dark brown with gold shimmer, TOASTED is a deep rosy pink with silver shimmer. HUSTLE is a deep purple-brown with shimmer, CREEP is a black with blue shimmer, GUNMETAL is a super cool blue black colour.

Without a doubt I will be posting more of this absolute beauty on this blog. All the shades are absolutely beautiful and of the highest quality I have ever tried, what more could you expect from Urban Decay? Do you have a Naked Palette? If you were to buy one, which one would you buy?

My Daily Makeup Routine

As you may or may not know, I am extremely lazy. Especially in the winter months, if it's dark in the morning i'm 100% less motivated for the day. So, I definitely do not want to be rummaging around my makeup storage trying to find my concealer at 7:30am. I'd much rather have everything I need in one easy access place, my makeup bag. Today I thought I would share the contents of my makeup bag with you, these products are the ones I reach for every day- so I guess you could call this my everyday makeup routine too.

Foundation- I absolutely love the healthy mix serum from Bourjois. I do not use this everyday, but
I would say that it makes the skin look lovely and even, the coverage is light or medium. I have dry skin and it does not cling to any dry patches, because that is not a good look, I can assure you.

Concealer- I really don't see the hype over the Lasting perfection concealer from collection, I find it quite drying and unforgiving - under the eyes i find it sinks into any fine lines. However, I absolutely love the Collection illuminating touch concealer. I have a lot of tiredness to cover up, especially at 7am and this concealer covers it well.

Brow kit - I wrote a post about this brow kit a few months ago (here) So have a read of that if you want a more in depth review. But long story short, I love it- It gives me eyebrows and stops me legitimately resembling a potato. I use the middle shade mostly (and have hit pan which excites me greatly).

Mascara- Three words; Roller freaking lash- the best mascara I have ever tried. Like ever. It makes your lashes look beyoootiful, lasts all day without transferring down into the panda eye region and removes easily at the end of the day. I will be purchasing the full size indefinitely.

Eyeliner- Most days, I like to flick out my eyeliner using this eyeliner it is super cheap, super black and super easy to manoeuvre. What more could you possibly ask of an eyeliner.

Naked basics - This eyeshadow palette is perfect, I love the formula and the way the matte eyeshadows look. The shade range is perfect and the slim packaging means it is ideal for travel. The next on my hitlist is definitely Naked 1.

Hoola- I got this bronzer in a small size for christmas and I love it so so so much. It is perfect for warming up the complexion, sculpting and just making your makeup look better. It blends flawlessly and uurrrrrrgh can you tell I love it?

Rockateur- I don't generally wear blusher from day to day, but when I do - it is always benefits rockateur. I love the natural, warm glow it gives to the cheeks.

High beam- I got a mini of High beam in the same set as Hoola, and I absolutely love this too. It gives such a lovely glow that blends seamlessly and ugh I love this too. Benefit's cheeks products are absolutely killing it for me at the moment.

Gimme brow- at the end of my makeup I set my eyebrows using Gimme Brow , when you're not gifted in the brow department like me, You'll take any precautions necessary if it means your brows wont go AWOL half way through the day.

And thats it, the products I more or less use every day. Comment below or tweet me letting me know your makeup bag staples! Thank you all so much for reading my blog, I appreciate every one of you so so much.

The very inspiring blogger award

So a few months  ago, before my break from Blogging The lovely Yana, from  TimeWithYana , nominated me to do the 'Very Inspiring Blogger Award' and considering what an avid reader I am of Yana's posts, it would be rude not to!

The rules
You have to write seven facts about yourself (random or beauty related)
Nominate five bloggers for the award
Let your nominees know you've tagged them.

Sounds fun! Let's Get right into it.

1, I am very disorganized and a massive procrastinator.

5, I am quite an open minded person and I am not afraid to speak up when I don't agree with what someone is saying.

6, I am quite clumsy, I'm constantly losing my balance, tripping over and get compared to Miranda Hart far too often.

7, When I was four, I was dancing and jumping on the sofa to a song in "The sound of music" and I fell off, and broke my elbow. #partyhard

So there you go, I hope you enjoyed learning some little facts about me.

Ellie Loves #3 - Lip Edition

Hello lovelies!

As most of you will know, I am a massive lip product lover. I'd go bold lips over bold eyes any day. Today I thought I would share my favourite lip products with you fellow lip junkies out there.

The Drugstore Offering;
The best lip product discovery I've ever made is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets. The formula is absolutely gorgeous, It goes on opaque, sits comfortably on the lips (No flaky lips over here) and does not budge all day long- Perfect. They sure do pack a punch for under £10! I love the shades frambourjoise and Nude(ist) - both absolutely gorgeous.

The High-end Offering;
I think everyone and their mum knows about the infamous Mac cosmetics lipstick range, the abundance of shades, finishes and collections. I love the shades Plumful- which is a dark berry toned nude shade, and Rebel - a dark pinky purple. Both are fairly long lasting, but are not matte shades, so they do need topping up every few hours.

I've made a fair few makeup discoveries in the past year, I hope you enjoyed reading this, If you have any favourite lip products or recommendations then please leave them in the comments because I would love to know, I'm a bit of a lip product addict.

The liebster award!

Hello lovelies!

Recently I have been tagged twice (By the lovely Bethan and Nadine) to do the Liebster Award/Tag, Thank you ladies, I have chosen a selection of each of your sets of questions. Here goes!

The Rules:
- First thank and mention the person who nominated you
- Then answer the questions they asked you
- Nominate up to 11 blogs that have around 200 followers or less
- Think of 11 questions to ask your nominees
- And finally notify all the people you nominated

1. How would you describe yourself?

This is a hard question for me, I would describe myself as quite confident, a bit independent and very affectionate. I think I change depending on who I am around, I am very confident around strangers, not so confident around teenaged boys, sigh.

2. Any Hobbies?

I've loved musical theatre since I was absolutely tiny, I do not do any form of club now, but I have done various stage schools in the past. Now I just sing to my friends mostly, not sure how they feel about that.

3. What is your favourite lipstick to give you the most confidence?

I definitely feel more confident in a bold lip, my favourite at the moment is Mac's Rebel.

4. How long will you continue blogging for?

I hope to continue blogging for as long as I enjoy it, as that is the ultimate reason of why I do it in the first place.

5. Would you rather have Starbucks or Costa?

Oh no you didn't! Oh man, I don't know! Considering I only really get frappes and Iced drinks, I guess it makes no difference to me.

6. Which do you prefer; Summer or Autumn?

I love summer, but this might be to do with time off school. My favourite time of year is around late September/ early October when its starting to get cooler, the days are still fairly long and you can basically wear what you want.

7. If you could change 1 thing about yourself what would it be?
Definitely my self conscious-ness, I don't know if this is just a teenaged thing and I might grow out of it. But right now I am very self conscious about a few things I have no control of.

8. If you could be invisible for the day, what would you do?

People watch, without looking like a weirdo.

9. High End or High Street makeup?

I get extremely excited about High End makeup, High street is amazing, but I get a rush when I buy something from Mac or Benefit. So it has to go to High End.

10. What would you tell your younger self?

I would tell my younger self not to involve myself with a few certain people, and not to pick GCSE French.

11. What is your favourite brand? (Makeup, skincare, nails, clothing shop)
My favourite Makeup Brand has to be Bourjois, Mac or Benefit.
Skincare? I should definitely use some more, but at the moment I love Simple.
I only have 1 nail polish from OPI but I love the formula so much, I definitely need to look in to buying more.
My favourite clothing shop has to be H&M, I love their clothes endlessly and the prices are great.

I hope you enjoyed that little post, Thanks again to Bethan and Nadine for tagging me.

I nominate:
and any of my blogger readers who fancy it, go on, say I tagged you.

Your questions are:
1. You've had a bad day, what do you do to cheer yourself up?
2. Who are your #WomanCrushWednesday and #ManCrushMonday ?
3. Favourite fail-safe make up products?
4. Are you more of a (sassy) bold eye or (sassy) bold lip kind of girl?
5. Favourite High End Makeup brand?
6. Favourite Drugstore Makeup brand?
7. Hair up or down?
8. Summer or Autumn? Why?
9. Favourite Meal?
10. Favourite Disney film/ princess?
11. What is your favourite clothing shop?

Have fun! E xx

Beauty Haulin'

WARNING: This post is a beefy one.

Recently I've been doing quite a lot of shopping, which is great for my blog, but not so great for my purse. Whenever I do this, I quite like to tell you guys about it because a problem shared is a problem halved. Right?

How cute is this notebook that was in my stocking?!

Over the past month I have acquired two Mac Lipsticks, that pushes my collection up to the grand total of 3! Plumful was an impulse buy, but probably one of the best impulse buys ever purchased. It is the perfect lipstick for me and has been welcomed warmly into my makeup bag. The Next lipstick was a -better late than never- Christmas present from my best friend. She knew I wanted Rebel and was the fairy godmother that made my wish come true (too far?)

(L-R) Bourjois healthy mix serum 52 Vanille, Mac lipstick Plumful, Mac lipstick Rebel, Bourjois Rouge edition velvelt Nude-ist.

In boots I picked up The Real Techniques Eye Starter set. This has seriously, seriously amped up my eyeshadow game. #Hellastrong. The only brush I do not use is the eyeliner brush because I do not use Gel eyeliner, but I'm sure I can get some use out of it in the future. The brushes are uber soft and will really help you out if you are an eye makeup newbie. I also picked up some Eyelure lengthening false eyelashes because I thought they would give me a fluttery eye. I will let you know how I get on!

From Bourjois, (Buy one get one half price, thank you very much.) I had really been wanting to trying the healthy mix serum for ages, I picked up the shade 52 Vanille which is a good mach for my skin. I have only used it once or twice but I really like the formula. It is fairly long lasting and does not stick to my dry patches, which almost every other foundation I have tried does. So far so Good! For half price, I picked up the Rouge edition Velvet in Nude-ist (Thank you for the recommendation Yana) I have fairly pigmented lips, so I have a bit of a mare finding nudes that don't wash me out completely. This shade is perfect for me, and I love the formula to pieces. Big thumbs up from me!

In superdrug I bought this 32 piece eyeshadow palette from Revolution. The shades are warm and all really really wearable, ranging from light pink shimmers to deep bronze and cranberry shades. They blend well and the pigmentation is gorgeous!

Phew, that is probably the most makeup I've ever bought in such a short space of time. Maybe I should stay away from the makeup aisles for a while.

I ❤️ makeup brow kit

As most of you know, I am naturally seriously lacking in the eyebrow department, So I will gladly take any help I can get. I decided that, while working well as an eyebrow powder, urban decays 'faint' was much too warm toned for my face. So, with my newly found love for powder eyebrow products, I went on a hunt. In superdrug I discovered I ❤️ makeup had a brow kit. I picked up the medium shade palette - I woke up this groomed. The kit comes in three variations (Fairest of them all, I woke up this groomed and Bold is best) Each with three shades of powder, matching any shade someone could need, an eyebrow wax, a small, not completely rubbish brush and a small set of tweezers.

For my eyebrows I use the middle shade and the wax, but sometimes I add a few strokes of the first or third powder to add dimension and realism. I find that the tiny brush is usable but tends to apply a little patchily, it may work better on thinner eyebrows than mine. I like to use superdrug's slanted eyeliner brush to apply the powder to my eyebrows, I then apply the wax over the top to set my eyebrows. Sometimes I apply Rimmel's lightest brow this way gel to set and enhance my brows.

These powders last all day and remove effortlessly with makeup remover which I see as a massive plus. They apply nicely but It can take a while to get an even brow. The compact is slim and light and comes with a reasonable sized mirror for a good view of your eyebrow area. They sure do pack a punch for the tiny price tag of £2.99!
