Bourjois volume 1 seconde waterproof mascara

Hey Guys!

If you couldn't tell, I have been on a review post roll lately, and this post will not be an exception. Today I am going to be reviewing the new Bourjois waterproof mascara for you. I needed a waterproof one in particular because I have serious panda eye issues which i got told a waterproof mascara would magic away all my problems. This was a massive impulse buy, and the shiny shiny packaging and my magpie like tendencies clearly did not get on.

The wand is a fat and and plastic with short bristles and tiny unusual balls (see picture if my crap description wasn't good enough)
I am in love with the product itself, it still transfers onto my upper cheek but no where near as much. Because of the waterproof formula it holds the curl in my eyelashes incredibly well.
The mascara is amazing at lengthening and separating, it volumizes as well but not as much. No matter how many coats I put on, it never seems to clump. For me this is perfect!

I saw this mascara and it was like all the lights went out in superdrug leaving a lone spotlight on it, heavenly sounds played in my head all the way to the till. I prefer this over Benefit "They're real!" and it's £10 cheaper! I bought this on introductory offer in superdrug ~ link

Maybelline Colour Tattoos

Hi guys!

Today I am going to be reviewing the Colour tattoo cream eyeshadows from Maybelline for you. I own two shades of the cream shadows, : 'On and on bronze' and 'Pink gold'. Both the shades are fairly self explanatory.

These babies last all day. Personally,  I have not worn them for 24 hours but I know that my eyeshadow looks the same when I take it off as when I put it on. The don't smudge easily either. They can be used as an all over lid colour or an eyeshadow base, either way they are fab! I have also been known to use Pink gold as an all over lid colour and On and on bronze as a crease colour, fool proof eyemakeup! I definitely would buy more but the shade selection here in the UK is rather shocking.

Have you tried the Maybelline colour tattoos? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Impulse buying Haul

Hello Lovelies

I went shopping again. And when I say shopping I mean Shopping. I did some serious damage, but do I regret it? Slightly Sometimes we need to treat ourselves because who else will. Don't listen to me or you might buy too much and justify it with that quote like I did. Bring on the haul.

The first place I went was Superdrug and oh look at that, they had a 3 for 2 offer on. So naturally I went a little teeny tiny bit bonkers. I do not recommend going into Superdrug at the moment unless you have serious self control.

First purchase, oh hell to the yes. I've been wanting to try some of sleeks cheek products for a while, as always most of the blush by threes and face forms were out of stock. But i picked up this nifty little compact with a contour and a highlighter. I know the contouring powder looks scarily dark but you can blend it to look somewhat natural. I must admit, I am a fan of heavy contouring. Looking like a tanned goddess wotsit somehow doesn't seem like a negative thing to me. - link

Now I had been lusting after this for around 48 hours, justified purchase? Definitely. The Revlon lip butter in 'Berry smoothie' is an absolutely gorgeous pink everyday shade, A little more sheer than 'sorbet' but definitely buildable. I laarve it. - link

I was in desperate need of a waterproof mascara, because I 'suffer' with mascara transferring onto my upper cheek and leaving me looking like a panda. Still my favourite animal but not so cute on a teenaged girl. I sadly report that I still find this begins to leak down my face but not as much. It is an amazing mascara with a fat plastic want. This is currently on a introductory offer at superdrug. - link

Then I made an incredibly and out of character-ly spontaneous purchase from benefit. I know, crazy right? The lovely lady at the benefit counter put Gimme-brow on me and I loved it. After a brief discussion with my friend I was with, I bought it. I am not absolutely in love with this product as I assumed I would be, but I do know that my brow game has been on point for the past few days. -link

My last stop on this shopping trip was Topshop. I bought two things.
Check out the bokeh on that. A* Photography Ellie
I bought this Hand of Fatima/ Hamsa hand silver chain necklace. - link

I also bought this blue and cream patterned scrunchie, this was just calling my name as I walked out of Topshop and I just had to buy it. God I sound like a spoilt brat in this blog post. - link

Conclusion - I bought things I didn't really need with money I didn't really have. But I love it!

Until next time,

Facemask Friday!

Hi Guys!

A few weeks back I picked up this little gem on offer in boots. I know it doesn't look much but do not let the packaging fool you.

This facemask tingles, whether or not its meant to, it does. Personally, I love this because I think it shows it is getting down into your skin and doing its magic. Not just sitting on the surface looking pretty. It feels incredibly refreshing on my face and there is a pleasant cucumber scent to it. It is a clay mask so it hardens on the skin. When washed off your face feels brand new, Softer and clearer.

Not bad for £1.50, eh? - link

The Apocalips -

Hello lovelies!

Last year The blogging world was taken by storm by the new range of lip lacquers released from Rimmel. These were named Apocalips, a punny play on word that makes my mum laugh every time I mention it. Last month, The Apocalips lip laquers were on a 2 for £9 deal. Since they usually retail for £6.49, and I really wanted to try them to see what the fuss was about. I picked up two. Aurora and Celestial - Beautiful names for Beautiful shades.

Lets start with the packaging shall we? I love it! Extremely sleek looking, I particularly like the lid as it is shaped to look like a gem, giving a luxury feel. My only annoyance with the packaging is that Superdrug felt the need to put annoying, big stickers onto the product, difficult to remove and now i am left with sticky marks- Frustrating, but I'll live.

Can we talk about the wand? I LOVE IT no seriously, I do! The wand is a sponge, similar in shape to a doe foot, but is larger and more angular. But what makes this wand so special is the well in the centre. This is p e r f e c t, because it stores the product so that when you apply it, you don't have to keep dipping. You get a high saturated shine after one swipe!

Application ~ This puppy applies like a dream, the wands angle helps the product to apply evenly staying inside of the lines of the lips, and even if it gets outside the lines of the lips, you don't have to worry because that can be fixed with one quick swipe of a finger!

This is where I stop singing This products Praises. The formula is very slippy, Looks gorgeous on the lips. But is easily transferred, particularly onto teeth. Not a good look. Since this product never really sets and is so easily transferred, I would not recommend these for your next hot date. By the end of two hours wear time, They begin to fade in the middle and leave a dark line around the lips, yet again, Not a good look. Also, I don't know if anyone has found this, but these smell very strongly of flour. Not Flowers, Flour. As these go under your nose that is all i can smell when i wear these. Just something worth noting.

As I mentioned before, I picked  up The shades Celestial and Aurora. Both absolutely beautiful shades. Celestial is a muted bubble gum pink everyday colour. Aurora is a hot corally pink colour. Aurora is my favourite and i think it will be absolutely gorgeous in the summer.

This was the only lip swatch that didn't make me feel extremely uncomfortable. Aurora on my lips.
I love the way these look on the lips but I do not think I will be repurchasing.
Thankyou Very much for reading!

MUA Undressed

Hello lovelies!

Everyone's heard of the infamous Naked palettes from Urban Decay haven't they? It also seems that everybody and their pet dog owns one, I am yet to dip into this trend, But I do have my eye on the Naked 3! Anyway, Ramble over, MUA's Undressed palette is a more or less exact shade match for Urban Decay's Naked 1.

However It would be a pretty rubbish comparison post as i do not own the Naked palette. Therefore, I am reviewing the Undressed palette for you.
I Bought the MUA palette in superdrug for £4 about a year now, and i absolutely love it.

As you can see the colour pigmentation is unreal for the price, There is practically no fall out at all! All the colours are incredibly wearable, long lasting and all of them look gorgeous on the eyelid. There are two matte shades and ten shimmery shades, The matte shades lack pigmentation slightly.

This palette is absolutely perfect for you neutral eyed girls out there, and £4 will not set you back a lot. Have you tried this palette? Let me know in the comments!

Love always,
